The Cape Town Festival of Beer will be returning to the Mother City from the 28th – 30th November at Hamiltons Rugby Club in Greenpoint. This much-anticipated event is on the social calendar for Capetonians – young and old. The Festivals have cemented themselves as SA’s largest annual gathering for brewers, enthusiasts, beer-lovers and first timers who are up for a merry time. It is the ultimate celebration of brewing heritage, culture and beer craft from around South Africa and abroad.
One of my favourite places in Cape Town has to be Rhodes Memorial, located on the lower slopes of Devil’s Peak in the Table Mountain National Park. There are spectacular view points which overlook the panoramic vistas of the Mother City. On a clear day, as far as the Helderberg and Hottentots Holland Mountain range can be seen.
We all have fond memories of LEGO® but who says they have to remain in our childhood? Cape Town welcomes The Art of The Brick, world-renowned LEGO® art exhibit which is taking place at the V&A Waterfront from 12 December 2014 until 28 February 2015. LEGO® fans, kids, adults, art-lovers and Cape Town’s creatives can look forward to up to seventy-six 3D art sculptures on display created from more than a million LEGO® bricks.
Who has included getting fit for their #CPTBucketList? Luckily for us Southern Suburbs Capetonians, we now have a S.W.E.A.T. 1000 Studio which has officially launched today – 4 August! S.W.E.A.T. 1000 stands for Specialized Weight Endurance and Aerobic Training and 1000 for the number of calories that you can burn in the class – and WOW does it live up to its name.
