The Cape Town Carnival is set to dazzle and sparkle its way down the Green Point Fan Walk on Saturday, 14 March 2015. This fabulous carnival is all about celebrating our unique African identity and diverse cultures bringing Cape town Carnival ElementalUbuntu meet Mardi Gras to the streets of our Mother City. The theme for this vibrant extravaganza  is ELEMENTAL: Celebrating Fire, Water, Air and Earth – the unstoppable forces that shape us and our beautiful city.

The party starts from 4pm at the Gallows Hill Traffic Department parking lot with the procession commencing with an electrifying explosion of fireworks at 7pm.   This colourful parade will have up to 20 astounding giant floats with over 2000 talented performers that will parade down the 1.2 km Fan Walk.

Get involved Cape Town! Organisers are encouraging Carnival-goers to shine bright, dive into the sea, take to the skies and come back to earth – and celebrate what the ELEMENTAL theme means to you. Dress up and show the Mother City your sparkle!

These spectacular celebrations lead to the Cape Town Carnival After Party, brought to you by Redd’s, taking place at the Green Point Stadium Forecourt from 9pm until midnight. Beatenberg, Riky Rick and Cassper Nyovest are going to get the eager party-goers dancing. Entry is free and no under 18’s will be allowed.

Pull into The Night Harvest this Friday, 6 March, for the best Freeride MTB & BMX the Southern Hemisphere has to offer. 2015 is already framing up to be one of the biggest, most badass years for two-wheeled, pedal-powered action with Africa’s largest dirt jump competition growing into the Monster it is today.
